He knows your sacrifices and your sorrows. He hears your prayers. His peace and rest will be yours as you continue to wait upon Him in faith... Every one of us is more beloved to the Lord than we can possibly understand or imagine. -Robert D. The Act of Forgiveness

And When Ye Shall Receive These Things

4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. -Moroni 10:4-5

Consecrated Life: Thoughts Prior to Brigham City Temple Dedication

To consecrate is to set apart or dedicate something as sacred, devoted to holy purposes. True success in this life comes in consecrating our lives—that is, our time and choices—to God’s purposes (see John 17:1, 4D&C 19:19). In so doing, we permit Him to raise us to our highest destiny. -D. Todd Christofferson, Reflections on a Consecrated Life, General Conference Oct 2010.

Frogs

Frogs
Two frogs fell in a deep bowl,
One was an optimistic soul,
But the other took a gloomy view.
He said, "We shall drown!" and he cried adieu.
And with a last despairing cry,
he flung up his legs and said goodbye.
But the other frog quoted with a cheeky grin,
"I can't get out, but I won't give in!
"I'll swim around till my strength is spent,
Then will I die, the more content."
Bravely he swam till it would seem,
His struggles began to churn the cream.
On top of the butter at last he stopped,
And out of the bowl he gaily hopped.
What is the moral? Tis easily found--
If you can't hop out, keep swimming around.

Tiny Spot

Father, where shall I work today?
And my love flowed warm and free.
Then he pointed out a tiny spot– and said, ‘Tend that for me.'
I answered quickly, 'Oh no, not that.'
Why, no one would ever see,
No matter how well my work was done.
Not that little place for me.
And the word he spoke, it was not stern;
He answered me tenderly:
Ah, little one, search that heart of thine;
Art thou working for them or for me?
Nazareth was a little place, –
And so was Galilee (Mead MacGuire).
(Elder Thomas S. Monson, Yellow Canaries with Gray on Their Wings,General Conference, April 7, 1973).

Constitution

“Are we reading the Constitution and pondering it? Are we aware of its principles? Are we abiding by these principles and teaching them to others? Could we defend the Constitution? Can we recognize when a law is constitutionally unsound? Do we know what the prophets have said about the Constitution and the threats to it?” Ezra Taft Benson, Our Divine Constitution (November 1987)
